The words made me freeze. The air suddenly became too thick for me to breathe in. My eyes rolled at her before traveling over to the door.

It felt like the devil himself was seeking audiences with me, in this case, the Alpha king wasn't the devil but someone I deliberately left after discovering my love for Dorian.

I could still hear his voice echoing in my ears, the day he asked me countless times if I would be comfortable going with Dorian. He also did ask me if I truly love him and not that Dorian was the one forcing me to leave.
