With a chuckle and shake of head, he says. "I know your annual profit report by heart and you don't even know what projects I've worked on. Not so fair Evelyn."

We stare at each other and something passes between us like a cord of wire extending on both ends so that a connection can be made.

"I do know a few," I confess.

"I know," Warren whispers.

Other people join us and Warren breaks eye contact as he sweeps his gaze around the table. The green irises seem to linger on a man sitting across from us who has his eyes fixed on Warren.
