Isabella's POV.

Elijah and I both walked for half a day, and then we were back where we were last time. I looked at the cave next to me and remembered again what had happened here before.

But now these things can no longer make me feel embarrassed.

I knelt down to examine the marks on the ground that looked like the "fall of a winged god". Those are usually caused by birds, but the huge ones are definitely from blood-sucking bats.

There are still only the marks left from the day I fought off the vampire bats with Elijah, so this proves that indeed those things haven't come here...
