When she finally returned, we wasted no time before heading out for the pack patrol and throughout the journey, she just kept ranting about one problem or another to the point where I wanted to disappear from her side with all desperation.

It wasn’t as if I forced her to be here so why would she decide to bug my ears with unnecessary words?!

“Why the long distance between packs?” She diverted the question to the driver at first and when he didn’t respond, she turned to me with eagerness in her eyes.
