“Would a nymph try to do this?” I grabbed another stick and started hitting him with it before he got the chance to grab and break it again.

“Definitely not, they’re sweet and seductive whereas the Adinah I know is very stubborn and vicious.” That sounded like a compliment to my ears so I didn’t even argue.

Until he brought up the topic of my guard once more which I argued fiercely against it, “I sent him away against his will.”

“He wasn’t supposed to agree to it that shows he has more fear and respect for you than me.” He spoke to his side while I stayed quiet....
