It seemed like an hour passed before I managed to breach the tree line, since my body was too fatigued to transform back into my wolf. I finally breathed a sigh of relief when my feet touched the cool concrete because they had begun to hurt from the uneven woodland floor. When I looked out onto the empty roadways, I felt a little strange.
