I smiled. “It's going to be fine. We just need to do what we were told to and we'll be out of here.”

He bit his lip and looked around. “It seems awfully quiet.”

“Hey.” I pulled his attention back to me. “I'm here, okay? I promise I won't let anything happen to you.”
