Cassandra turned around to see Eddie approaching her, closely followed by Cassie. She laughed and snatched him into her arms, just as Edward did with Cassie. Eddie was now seven, and Cassie was already five.

"Mommy, can we go swimming?" Akia inquired as she appeared from the kitchen.

"Of course," she said, "but make sure you are all wearing your floaties," she added as the kids nodded before they dashed inside to get ready, while Edward and Cassandra remained.

She watched as her husband yanked off his shirt and she, in turn, yanked off her cover-up to reveal her hidden swimsuit underneath.
