“Come with me,” I said with my hand out to her.

She paused for a moment, taking one last look at the wedding party, and then she took my hand. We got up as quietly as we could and slipped past the wedding crowd. Thankfully, everyone’s attention was at the bride and groom, so people didn’t notice us leaving.
