Love

The beeping of the machine in my ears pulled me from the darkness. My eyes opened slowly. I adjusted my eyes to the room I was in, yet it was still blurry. I winced at the throbbing headache I felt 

' You're awake!' Vee beamed. She seemed to have fully recovered her strength and was back to her normal self. 

' Vee,' 

" I think she's waking up, Cay," I heard the distant voice of my mate. It was so good to hear the warmth in his voice. My vision was still distorted. 

" Mommy?" I heard a small voice call me. A small delicate hand touched me.
