Gabriella’s POV

We descended the staircase together, and I pretended to know my way around, following the path she took until we reached the dining room. As she had mentioned, everyone was there, smiling at me.

“Honey, how was your night?” Nick said, standing up and walking over to me to give me a kiss on my forehead. "I'm fine," I replied. My Nick was the best when it came to sweet, romantic gestures.

"Mom, Grandpa got me a Barbie doll," Estella said to me, and I was taken aback. Did my father really buy something for my daughter? This was unbelievable; he had never shown any care for me....
