Kate curled her lips in a soft smile at Angela’s  question. She doesn’t  even know about her life with Alex and Aiden.

Instead of offering an answer to that question, she made a detour to another topic.

 

She'd not deny the affections she felt for the twins nor would she admit to it especially  when

she doesn’t  know what she meant to them.

And especially  the strangeness  of the situation. Loving the twins means having a throuple relationship which, considering her family  background, is wrong.
