I watched as the ancient ones fought with Daisy and Noah in the town square. Bodies were everywhere. Human bodies, torn apart by creatures that moved faster than the eye could see. The smell of blood was so thick in the air that it made my fangs ache.

But I didn't join the fight. Not yet.
