I turned toward the sound, and my heart nearly stopped.

Noah was standing in the entrance to the sitting room, his clothes torn and bloody, his eyes scanning the scene before him - Klaudius's dead body, Scott bleeding on the floor, Mila cowering in the corner, and Lucien standing over me with his hand raised to strike.
