Maria blushed as she watched Ashton carry Hannah upstairs. Even though Hannah was injured, the sight of them together seemed incredibly romantic to her.

"I'll bring you some tea and snacks, ma'am," Maria called from the bottom of the stairs.

When he turned his head toward the stairs, Ashton had just reached the bedroom door.

"I'll do it, Maria!" Ashton called back even louder.

Hannah shook her head. "Why do you two have to yell at each other like that?"

"It's more efficient."

"Oh, God..." Hannah sighed softly.

Ashton gently set Hannah down on the edge of the bed and kissed her forehead.
