When Hannah saw Victoria's message, her heart sank. Victoria had invited her to dinner that night at an upscale restaurant. The night before, Hannah and Ashton had finally admitted their feelings for each other. Now, this sudden invitation had Hannah worried.

She quickly forwarded the message to Ashton, and within moments, he called her.

"Hey, sweetheart," Ashton greeted her with a small laugh.

"Did you tell Victoria about us?" Hannah whispered cautiously. "Are you out of your mind?"

"No. I haven't contacted Mom, I swear. She didn't even invite me to this dinner with you." Ashton sighed. "That's not fair."

"It's not funny. Why would Victoria want to invite me...
