My body seemed to be in a state of disarray. Nothing makes sense, especially since the realization of the truth. My wolf has been a recluse, refusing to communicate with me. I have spent most of my days after performing a few of my duties sitting with Rayna and watching her.

Her breathing appears almost nonexistent, there is a faint sign of it and her eyes aren’t open yet. That seems like a relief, knowing there are still traces of her soul in the pale body. I don’t think I have ever been this scared of losing someone before.
