I lay on the cold, damp floor, my body weak and exhausted from the relentless heat and starvation.

Thirty-four hours had passed since I was thrown into this sweltering room, and I could feel my life force slowly ebbing away.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Adrian, my mate, stood before me.
