"You ready?" Harriet closed her eyes as I placed the recorder in the middle of the table and started, "You have written three books, all romantic thrillers, which were bestsellers. What inspired you to write these books?"

"It's simple. Ever since childhood I had been watching all these crazy murder mystery movies and reading books about 'em. So, they kind of helped me create this entire universe with a hint of romance, which I am a sucker for. My central character, the detective, who is also the lead romantic interest, Marshall was inspired by my dad. So, yeah!"

Even her accent was a little rusty....
