~ In the middle of the night ~

My cell phone began to ring.

I was woken up by the ringtone of my cell phone. With my eyes shut I took the cell phone. Without looking at the caller I attended the call.

The news made my heart skip a beat.

Soon I hung up the call. I got out of bed. But Alex pulled me back to the bed.

“Where are you going?” He murmured in his sleep.

“I will tell you later,” I said, freeing myself from his grip.

I got ready. I collected my things.
