Jason knocked on Alyssa’s door first before he confronted anyone. He needed to talk to her and gain some sanity. She opened to see the exhaustion in his eyes.

“Jason what happened?” He pulled her into his arms as he walked into the apartment. “I just need you right now.” He sat on the couch placing her in his lap. “I have had the worst day ever I think, right next to the day you threw me out of here.”

She grabbed his face, gently. “What happened?”

Jason sighed. “Have you seen the news?” She shook her head. “They arrested me today for Abagail’s murder.”
