Janet walked up to the apartment, hands shaking and her heart in her throat. She felt overwhelmed walking up to talk to Alyssa’s family house. A part of her felt guilty for not taking care of her like she should have and she hoped they wouldn’t judge her once they heard the story. A woman opened the door looking slightly different from Alyssa, but her face was longer and she was slightly bigger.

“Who are you?” She asked. Janet placed on a smile as she held her arms out for a hug to greet the woman. She hugged her, confused still as she waited for the response.
