The goblet clattered to the floor as she fell, the crimson contents spilling across the ground. Tessa crumpled, giving a silent scream. Every part of me screamed at me to reach her but my feet remained rooted to the spot unable to move. My mind was in paralysis and the only thing I could recognize was the sheer audacity of her act.
