Max’s POV

Taylor’s apartment was suffocating; the tension was thick between us as I paced back and forth. She stood by the window, arms crossed, staring out of it. My blood boiled.

“Are you going to say something?” I barked, spinning on my heel to face her.

She didn’t flinch. Taylor was a fortress, as usual. “What do you want me to say, Max?” she asked in a bored tone.

“I want you to tell me what the hell you’re planning with Ivy and Asher!” My voice echoed off the walls. “Because so far, all you’ve done is destroy any chance I had with Ivy! You were supposed to help...
