Savannah’s voice was low, almost playful, but her eyes were sharp as hell. She kept her hand on my back a second longer than she needed to before letting it drop. That smirk on her face made my stomach tighten.
"What are you talking about?" I kept my expression blank.
"Come on, Rafael." She laughed under her breath, shaking her head. " You’ve been at the lake. I can smell the water on you and the grass. You’ve always gone there when your head gets too loud. Ever since we were younger, don’t act like I don’t know your habits.”
