Jack was standing beside his brother. Their gaze locked, I could feel the tension from where I stood.
“Let's go.” Zavian motioned for Jack to get into the car parked a few meters away.
Jack turned around and left the moment his father finished speaking. Zavian called after him.
“Jack!” But it was useless. The sound of footsteps echoed sharply against the concrete floor, then faded into the noise of the crowd inside.
