I heard the voices before I even reached the hallway. They were sharp, loud, and too close to turning into something worse. My chest tightened because I already knew who it was.
I stepped closer and saw Velvet standing right in front of Selina. Her shoulders were tense, her hands balled, and her eyes burning with anger. Selina had her arms folded, like she was bored.
