I stood at the rim, calling Freya repeatedly, but she didn't answer and the one time she answered, she broke down over the phone. She sobbed, talking about how I had hated her, didn't trust her, and was pretending to love her.

Freya screamed, reiterating the fact that she was different from her father. How she just wanted to live and how I had always done nothing but break her heart all the time.

Honestly, I didn't know where all of this was coming from. I didn't even know if these words were caused by her random mood swings but the pain in her voice…
