Caspian pulled his arm free from Dominic’s grip, his face stone-cold and unreadable, then turned sharply, heading for the door.
Just as he reached the exit, Dominic rushed forward, blocking his path, his face flushed with desperation.
“Mr. Caspian… please,” Dominic said, his voice trembling. “You have to help her. She’s not thinking clearly… her own judgment is clouded, but you can’t just let her face this alone. She needs you.”
Caspian clenched his jaw, looking away from Dominic. His heart pounded in his chest, every fiber of his being screaming to rush to Julia’s side. She meant everything to him.
