Liam adored Caspian and had grown more comfortable around him, often calling him his “best buddy.”

The morning started like any other. Julia woke up early to prepare Liam for school. The mansion was quiet except for the soft hum of the kitchen as Julia packed Liam’s lunch.

She double-checked everything—his schoolbag, his books, and even his little water bottle. Once satisfied, she went to wake him.

“Liam, sweetheart, time to get up,” she whispered gently as she ruffled his soft brown hair.
