[ Nairobi’s POV]
I have been on a call with my father for over thirty minutes, while Amira stands by my side, gazing at nothing in particular. She seems engulfed by a thought on her mind and it’s not far fetched that she’s actually thinking about what I had said about her mother’s death. As soon as I hang up the call, she transfers the beam of her gaze to my direction. “ Amira is there anything else you want to tell me?” I ask, pretending to forget about our discussion.
