Vance really had some nerve orchestrating all this bullshit. It sounded wrong, at first when Nadia told me, but now that I've actually thought about it, thought it's weird still, it's not unthinkable.

Vance has always been that bastard. Our lives, rather unfortunately, seemed to be really wound up together. Many times, so many fucking times, that I felt the last string had broken, and something just shows up, and we both have that one thing in common. After Talia's death, I swear I was done with Vance. I was prepared to strip him off everything that belonged to him. Apparently, the bastard was way ahead of me....
