When I got home, I found Lia on the porch. Lifting a brow I joined her because I was a little worried about what was going on it her mind. She seemed okay. Just lost in thought, which was why it didn’t sit right with me.
Lia was never this deep in thought that she wasn’t aware of what was going on around in her life.
I found her by the back porch, arms folded, gaze fixed on nothing. When Lia stares at nothing, it usually means her brain is sprinting.
“You thinking,” I asked, “or plotting world domination again?”
She didn’t smile. Not even a little.
