Thorburn found Frang and asked him if Isobel and he could pack extra food when they prepared theirs later and leave it outside the postern gate.

"Pack enough for two people to eat through breakfast day after tomorrow. Nothing that might spoil. No one will pay much attention to you preparing food as you must for the trip to Lady Luck anyway. A little extra won't be noticed."

"Going hunting, brother?"

"Aye."

"Good luck and be careful."

"That we will. Work the ladies hard; life's becoming a bit more difficult." He pulled Frang in for a big hug. "Make them hard to kill," Thorburn whispered.
