Jack is staring me down and a smirk curves up his lips. I feel tense immediately and I know I need to get out of here!

“N-no,” I reply quickly, but I was so taken aback, my word came out in a stutter.

“I was looking for the ladies room,” I say again, holding a firmer tone.
