~ Savannah’s POV ~

* BOOOM!!!! *

It was the loudest, most dreadful sound I have ever heard.

And for a moment, everything stops. All I can see is the entire screen goes white with light for a split second, and then everything turns dark. The sound follows after and then what feels like an earthquake hits us next. Everything is shaking as the ground above us trembles and trembles.

And finally, once everything quiets down, I hear no sound. I don’t hear any more vehicles engines or any other voices.

Oh, no!

“Hey! Can you hear me?” Carter barks into his walkie-talkie.

Moments later, a voice responds, “Yes, Alpha...
