Briskly walking to her car, Amely sighed. Her head was pounding with questions and doubt.

“Are you alright?” Jared's voice made her look up and turn around to face him.

“Not really.” She sat on the hood of her jeep. “Too many people died, and I'm afraid an attack like this might happen again. What if they somehow reach Mason? What if more innocents die?”
