While I was trying to fight off the voices from unseen sources, I continually wiggled, totally shutting out whatever Jordan was saying to me and entirely focusing on those voices.

In the process, my hand slipped off his and I fell, down to that deep place, then I blacked out.

 Opening my eyes later on, I realized I was in a different environment. The room was very dark and I could just perceive that I was alone.
