I was currently standing a long distance from the room Akayla and Quinn were chatting in.

I felt I needed to stay closer to ensure that the absence of any mishaps during my absence.

As I leaned against the wall and stared at nothing in particular, I suddenly heard signs of movement down the hallway to my right. The movement was coming from way past Akayla room. I looked up sharply as I tried to gauge the unknown intruder's exact location.
