I didn't really understand what was going on in the pack house ever since Anne came back from the land of the dead. There had been a lot of tension and misunderstandings.

Whatever it was, I didn't really care as long as it doesn't affect me in any way. This whole development was a bit strange and suspicious but I didn't really give a shit.

I was currently at sitting by Kayden's side in the dining room, settling some last minute pack business when Anne walked in. I narrowed my eyes at her, seizing her up once more.

I didn't believe her sob story in the least bit but...
