Elijah's comments sent a shiver down Amelia's spine.

"Why is everyone acting like it was my fault?" Amelia attempted to defend herself.

"Because it is your fault." That was the first time Bruce said anything inside the cabin. Amelia gazed at him. "Bruce, try to understand."

"Try to understand what?" The Alpha's voice could be heard from thousands of miles away.

Amelia looked at everyone in the room with their scrutinizing eyes and simply smiled and said, "This was the reason why I ran away in the first place."

"Do you plan to run again? Elijah asked. "I might," she said.
