“You scared her away.” Rune’s voice breaks through the cords of my mind and my jaw clenched at his words, my eyes closing as I try to control my heavy breath.

I could hear the laxed taunt in his voice even though I know that it isn’t a deliberate act, I can’t help the irritation from leaking out of me.

“Don’t you think I’m clearly aware of that.” I snap at him, turning my head to his direction.
