Eventually, Chase and Cole walked into the kitchen, with Cole's hair looking kind of damp from his shower. Earlier he had asked me if I wanted to join him, but I had said no. This situation had me too shaken up, feeling dazed, as if I had no idea what was supposed to happen and I was not sure of myself.
