We both landed right on the ground outside the Nephilim base. "Why are we stopping here first?" I asked curiously, while Nicolas freed my body from his arms. 

"It's okay. This won't take long. I don't need to be here other than to tell them about Silas." He said as he took a step forward. 

"Oh..." I said because I knew he would want to be with Jesse now. "Sorry," I said vaguely. 

"Why?" He tilted his head and his facial expression turned confused. 

"You probably want to spend time with Jesse, right?" 

He pressed his lips together. "You do seem to want to get away for a while."...
