I reluctantly disentangle myself from my mate's tight embrace.

We both fell asleep after the brief but intense lovemaking. I couldn't help but reflect upon the countless nights that had preceded this moment, they were pure torture, but it was worth the wait.

I prop myself up on my elbow and continue to stare at her for a moment.
