I woke up with a start, the dim light of dawn creeping through the windows. My heart skipped a beat as I glanced at my phone and saw several missed calls from Raelynn.

The sight of her name on my screen sent a jolt of shock and excitement through me.

She reached out to me, finally. I wanted to call her back immediately, but the time was barely past 3 am.

"Raelynn called," I whispered to myself, feeling a surge of joy.

My wolf, Max, stirred within me. "She called us, Lorenzo. Call her back!"
