The authoritative Wolf Hunters exchanged uncertain glances, clearly taken aback by my proposal. They had never encountered such a gesture of commitment before.

One of them, a stern-looking man, finally spoke. "This is a bold offer, Luna, but how can we be sure that this covenant will hold? A hundred years ago, a human girl made a similar covenant, and peace was shattered. Her soul was offered to the Moon Goddess, and yet, it didn't prevent the war."
