Milton dialed Jamie's phone a couple of times, but it was not going through. He was worried and couldn't stop pacing. Somehow, he couldn't believe that Jamie chose to remain with Jake. He knew that she must have been threatened by him.

"Milton?" Mrs Williams called.

"Not now, mother," Milton said nonchalantly and flopped on the bed. He gazed at the air helplessly.

Mrs Williams sat beside her son. "I know you're old enough to decide for yourself, but sometimes your parents need to advise you because they know what is best."
