Getting back to the palace, the first thing Adrian noticed as he made his way into the palace was how everywhere was quiet and calm; the only thing that could be heard was the voice of some of the guards who were discussing among themselves and also that of some of the maids who were busy with the domestic tasks in the palace.

Seeing this, Adrian sighed heavily as he recalled how lively the palace used to be when Alex and Amelia were still in the palace, but now that none of them are present, the palace has gone back to being quiet and calm like a graveyard.
