I struggled against the rapid current as my body drifted further.

I wanted to scream, but the water drowned my voice. With my strength steadily draining, my vision began to blur.

Just as I was about to give up, a large hand grabbed me and pulled me out of the water. I inhaled deeply, taking in the air, as I raised my head, only to see Owen.

At that moment, an earth-shattering voice boomed in my ears, as if nature itself was summoning me. That was an instinctive reaction between mates.
